Police registers case against Lady doctor for violating Covid protocol in Baramulla

Baramulla, May 17: The Jammu and Kashmir police Monday registered a case against a lady doctor and polyclinic at Kunzer area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district for violating the set COVID-19 protocols issued from time to time in wake of the rise in virus cases in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
A police spokesman in a statement said that while enforcing the lockdown in the district and implementing the orders thereof, inaction undertaken by Police Station Kunzer, the case has been registered against a lady doctor and private medical Center Apollo Poly Clinic for violating instructions and covid protocols in Gokhama area of Kunzer in Baramulla district.
The statement said that the said lady doctor namely Dr. Muzzamil who is posted at Trauma hospital Pattan besides doing private practice in Clinic at Gokhama Kunzer also violates Covid protocols by making huge public rush in the Clinic.
It said that accordingly, Duty Magistrate along with SHO PS Kunzer taking serious action, sealed the clinic on spot, an FIR was registered under relevant sections of the law, and investigation started.
The statement also said that similarly, In action undertaken by PS Baramulla/ Boniyar/ Tangmarg/ Pattan/ Kunzer/ PP Kungamdara & PP Kamalkote at Baramulla/ Tangmarg/ Pattan/ Kunzer/ Kungamdara & Kamalkote, Baramulla Police registered 6 cases and seized 5 LMVs / 1 Tipper and fine realized from 62 persons for violating instructions & running their businesses / plying vehicles unnecessarily on roads.
