Lets respect white coat

The doctors day was celebrated across Jammu and Kashmir like other parts of the country Friday, but some of the events and episodes that have taken place in the past had to be put an end on this occasion to give respect and honour to the white coat. Multiple incidents of manhandling of on duty doctors have taken place at different hospitals across the Union Territory while several persons involved have also been booked in this regard. The incidents are taking place after alleged negligence by the doctors. However, the allegations cannot be ignored, but the people wearing white coats don’t deserve to be manhandled. It is because of these doctors that thousands of lives were saved in the past nearly three years, who were battling for their life after catching the Covid-19—a deadly virus. The doctors faced a lot of hardships while treating the patients and also risked their lives to treat the people. The commendable job by the doctors in the past three years deserve much applause and the great work deserves to be respected completely. On this occasion, the people need to take a pledge to respect the men in white coats and ensure that the incidents of manhandling are not repeated. It stands the responsibility of one and all to respect the noble profession. There are multiple ways to highlight the negligence, but manhandling and abusing the doctors need to be stopped forthwith.
