Srinagar, Jul 1: A 6-year-old girl was killed in a leopard attack in Gopalpora village of Mattan area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district Friday evening, reports said.
Reports said that one Zubaida Jan daughter of Ghulam Mohuiddin Chopan, was pounced upon by a leopard while she was outside her home. Alerted by the cries, the family and locals tried to come to her rescue, however the beast left the girl with critical injuries leading to her death.
A police official has in the meantime also confirmed the incident. (GNS)
