Budgam, Jul 17: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza Monday chaired a meeting of officers to review the arrangements for smooth conduct of Independence Day, 2022 celebrations at all venues in the district.
Sharing details, the DC said that the main function shall be held at Sports Stadium Budgam, which will start with Shahnai Wadan followed by hoisting of National Flag by the chief guest.
The chief guest shall inspect the march past and take salute at the March Past to be presented by contingents from J&K Police, Armed Police, CRPF, Home guard, Fire and Emergency, NCC, besides contingents from various educational institutions of the District.
On the occasion, a variety of cultural programmes will be performed by renowned local artists, CRPF and school children.
The DC called for making foolproof arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of celebrations at all venues. He said that Independence Day functions shall also be held at all SDM and Tehsildar headquarters.
He emphasized on carrying out cleanliness and sanitation drives at all locations. He also stressed on making adequate security arrangements, parking facility, drinking water, proper seating arrangement, health, refreshment and other related arrangements are put well in time.
The DC directed that all line departments shall hoist banners depicting work achievements of their offices.
The meeting among others was attended by ADC Budgam, CO CRPF, ASP Budgam, SE R&B, JD Planning, GM DIC, PO ICDS, CEOs of Development Authorities, SDMs, ACP, CMO, CEO, ARTO, Dy. SP Traffic Rural and other district and Sectoral Officers.
