DC Budgam for prompt redressal of public issues

Budgam, Jul 20: The Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza Wednesday chaired a public darbar at Town Hall in Magam Town.
On the occasion, members of Municipal Council Magam, Sarpanchs, Panchs from various panchayat halqas, local traders, respected from villages including Narbal, SK Pora, Watta Magam, Kanihma and adjoining villages raised their demands and issues with the DC.
At the outset, DC called for robust development of the Magam Town and other areas and instructed concerned citizens to ensure prompt redressal of public issues.
Among, other issues locals demands adequate water supply for areas, sanitation, road development, removal of Kaah Charai encroachments and streams, development of playground, construction of culverts, ease in building permissions, transport facility and improvement in health care facilities, robust drainage system, sanitary complex and other related facilities availability in these areas.
The DC stressed on providing better health care facilities and instructed all doctors and paramedics follow duty roster in letter and spirit.
The DC further directed concerned to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of proper sanitation in the Town and other areas.
He urged PRIs to ensure a ban on use of one-time plastic items and dumping of garbage on roadside and in open areas.
He stressed that public should use separate dustbins for proper disposal of garbage generated daily by the households.
The DC also directed concerned to ensure land identification for establishments of segregation sheds and dumping sites in each panchayat halqas for proper garbage disposal.
The DC after giving patient hearing to demands of locals, assured that all their genuine demands shall be taken up for redressal.
Among others, ACD, CEO, SDM, Executive Engineers from various Engineering Wings, district heads of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, ARTO, BDO, BMO and other concerned officers and officials were also present on the occasion.
