Coronavirus: JK reports 563 new cases

Srinagar, Aug 14: The Government Sunday informed that 563 fresh positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19) have been reported today; 58 from Jammu division and 505 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases to 473782.
Moreover, 679 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 75 from Jammu division and 604 from Kashmir division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 473782 positive cases, 4463 are Active Positive (722 in Jammu Division and 3741 in Kashmir Division), 464542 have recovered and 4777 have died; 2346 in Jammu division and 2431in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 26302620 test results available, 473782samples have tested positive and 25828838 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 12,058COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.
Till date 6699934 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 135 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 4463 in isolation and 331 in home surveillance. Besides, 6690228 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases for today, the Bulletin informs that in Kashmir division, Srinagar reported 129 cases, Baramulla reported 130 cases, Budgam 58 cases, Pulwama reported 12 cases, Kupwara reported 80 cases, Anantnag reported 60 cases, Bandipora reported 08 cases, Ganderbal reported 09 cases, Kulgam reported 16 cases while as Shopian reported 03 fresh cases for today.
Similarly in Jammu division, Jammu reported 39 cases, Udhampur 05, Rajouri 02, Doda 02, Kathua 01, Samba 00, Kishtwar 02, Poonch 03, Ramban04 while as Reasi reported no fresh case for today.
The bulletin informs that in case of any help, the general public can call J&K UT Centralised Health Helpline- Toll Free No. 104.In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialling 1075.
