Coronavirus: JK reports 147 new cases

Srinagar, Sep 1: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday reported 147 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the number of active cases to 1,051 while no more death was reported in the UT in last 24 hours and death toll stands at 4,782.
An official that among 147 new cases,121 belong to Kashmir division while as 26 to Jammu division.
He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 304,234 including 301,000 recoveries and 2,432 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 173,697 including 171,098 recoveries and 2,350 deaths. He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,051 including 802 from Kashmir division and 249 from Jammu division.
With 187 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 472,098 which is 98.79 percent of the total cases.
“Among the fresh 147 cases today, 44 are from Srinagar, 20 from Baramulla, 30 from Budgam, 01 from Pulwama, 07 from Kupwara, 06 from Anantnag, 02 from Bandipora, 06 from Ganderbal, 03 from Kulgam and 02 from Shopian in Kashmir division while 26 are from Jammu division that include 21 from Jammu district, 00 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 00 from Doda, 01 from Kuthua , 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 02 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” said the official.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,698,775 persons in J&K are under observation while 166 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 1,051 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 6,692,385 persons have completed the surveillance period and 391 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 26,466,890 samples are available.
“Out of 26,466,890 the number of samples tested negative stands at 25,979,934 while 477,784 have tested positive, among them 1,051 cases are active, 472,098 have recovered and 4,782 persons have died,” it added.
