Srinagar, Sep 5: Militants on Monday evening made an abortive bid at a camp, housing the Special Operation Group of police in Imam Sahib area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A top police officer said that militants fired some rounds at the camp. However, he said, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident. Taking advantage of darkness militants managed to escape from the spot, the officer said.
Soon after the attack, he said, the whole area was cordoned off to nab the attackers. He said a case has been registered in this regard. (GNS)
