Srinagar, Sep 15: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Budgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
Officers from Police Station Chadoora at a checkpoint established at Kilkadal Chadoora intercepted a suspicious person who tried to flee from the spot after noticing the police party but was apprehended tactfully. During search, 505 tablets of Alprazolam and 2.39grams of Heroin like substance (concealed in polythene bag) have been recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Nisar Ahmed Rather@ Nizkala son of Mushtaq Ahmed resident of Qaisermullah Chadoora.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 160/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Chadoora and investigation was initiated.
