Blood Bank imperative for patients

Keeping the situation and scenarios in view, the healthcare industry has been ever-evolving from time to time. The frameworks and strategies of healthcare administrations have moreover changed and strikingly modernized. To tackle the emerging situation, the healthcare administrations all over the world became more advanced and to treat every disease and ailment at a single place came up with the multi-speciality or super speciality hospitals with an aim to provide some sigh of relief to the patients, diagnosed with different ailments. However, the government’s initiative to come up with super speciality hospital seems to have failed the bring respite to the people as the media reports have suggested that the super speciality hospital, Shireen Bagh, Srinagar lacks the mandatory blood bank, which according to the report has caused delay to even surgeries to patients many times so far. The officials have also criticized the lack of the blood bank, saying that over 10 blood transfusion bags are required every day for patients, who undergo various surgeries at the hospital, but whenever patients require blood, they get it from other hospitals. The super speciality hospital needs 300 units of blood every month. However, the absence of such a facility is putting a question mark over the claims of the administration about improvement in the healthcare facilities. In order to bring respite to the patients, the government, especially the concerned department should take appropriate steps to ensure the blood bank is made available at the shortest possible time at super speciality hospital, Shireen Bagh Srinagar so that the patients could heave a sigh of relief and the motive behind coming up with such a facility is achieved on the ground.
