DC Baramulla reviews arrangements for R-Day celebrations

Baramulla, Dec 28: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Wednesday chaired a meeting with all officers of concerned departments at Dak Bungalow here to discuss various measures for smooth conduct of Republic Day function, 2023.
On the occasion, a threadbare discussion on the arrangements was held wherein it was informed that the main function will be held at District Police Lines Baramulla. It was further informed that the function will start with Shahnai Wadan after which contingents of JKAP, Police, IRP, CRPF, NCC and school children will present March Past.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sehrish stressed upon the concerned officers to work with coordination and cooperation so that function is conducted smoothly in the district.
The DC further directed the concerned to make all the requisite arrangements including composition of parade, cultural items, rehearsal, transport arrangements, seating and heating arrangements, printing and issuance of invitation cards, etc well in advance.
Dr Sehrish further directed officers of all departments to ensure the flag hoisting ceremony in every government offices and Health institutions across the district on 26th of January in the wee hours.
Meanwhile, it was also informed in the meeting that similar functions shall also be organized at Sub-divisional and Tehsil levels.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Zahoor Ahmad Raina, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Parvaiz Sajad, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad and district and Sectoral officers besides officers from Police, Army, CRPF and BSF.
