Govt starts enquiry against Medical Officer in Banihal

Srinagar, Dec 30: Health and Medical Education Department has ordered for initiation of an inquiry against Medical Officer and directed Director Health Services Jammu to conduct formal enquiry and submit report in one month.
“Pending enquiry into the misconduct, Dr. Sakib Khan, Medical Officer, Emergency Hospital, Banihal, is hereby transferred and posted at SDH Bhaderwah. The Director, Health Services, Jammu shall serve charge-sheet to Dr. Sakib Khan, Medical Officer and shall conduct formal enquiry in the matter and submit the report to the Administrative Department within one month from the date of issue of this order,” reads an order issued by Secretary Health and Medical Education.
“Consequent upon above and in the interest of administration and patient care, Dr. Abdul Rashid Sandhoo, Consultant Paediatrician, Gousia Hospital Khanyar, Srinagar is, hereby, transferred and posted at Emergency Hospital, Banihal against the vacant post of Consultant MCH,” the order states further.
