Keep Kashmir connected

The health experts have maintained that a couple of reasons including spike in respiratory infections, blood pressure, diabetes or smoking are behind the rising heart attacks in Kashmir nowadays, but this is not the only reason as some studies conducted in the past have pointed towards some other reasons, which indicate that people who were less connected to others are prone to suffer heart attack in any season. Presently, modern technology like mobile phones, social media and other things have almost disconnected people even with their family members, which is an alarming situation. The study that was conducted a few years back has revealed that people who were less connected to others were 29 percent more likely to have a heart attack and 32 percent more likely to suffer a stroke than people who had more social interactions and relationships. Amid the alarming situation, the study has found that about a third of heart attacks and strokes can be prevented by strong social ties. The use of mobile phones, social media platforms is genuine to some extent but remaining disconnected to the nearby people is certainly a grave issue and every single persons within the society, especially the family members have the responsibility to ensure that the alarming trend is put to an immediate end so that the precious lives are saved to a large extent. Prevention is better than cure. Therefore, the people should understand that the use of modern gadgets and social media should not disconnect them as well as their family members from the nearby people, which would help them in reducing the number of heart attacks irrespective of any season and health issues.
