Parenting styles: How respect, discipline shape children’s future

Forget about the main roads and interiors of Srinagar, a major and most visited place in Srinagar outskirts is in shambles since last many years, but hardly any official from the concerned department is bothering to bring some respite to the people as the sufferings of the common masses, visiting the place almost every day continue, thus pushing them to the wall. Parimpora bus stand—a place known to all, is presently giving a look of a small pond or a stream where the maximum portion of the road is inundated and causing huge trouble to the people passing through the road. The road stretch has not been macadamized for the last many years, which in result turns the road inundated whenever it rains or snows. The people are quite disappointed as they have stated that the situation despite bringing into the notice of higher ups have never changed and seemingly the administration is reluctant to take measures in this regard to bring respite to the common people. The flow of passengers, businessmen, fruit vendors and drivers remain high in and around the bus stand, but what has aggrieved them the most is the road condition, which usually remains flooded with the muddy water and forces them to walk through the filthy water. It is the time when the government should take a look over the situation and ensure that some early and necessary measures are taken to bring respite to the people, who visit the stand almost every day to reach their destinations. The road needs to be dewatered at this juncture on priority so that the people here could heave a sigh of relief.
