Pulwama, Feb 14: The Department of AYUSH /ISM Tuesday organised Health Melas across all Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centers (ABH&WCs) in the district.
During the Melas, various activities were conducted like Cyclothon-Cycling Rallies, Yoga Sessions, Teleconsultation, Nikshay Poshan Abhiyan, NCD screening and distribution of Albendazole among Children, generation of ABHA cards undertaken as part of these health melas.
Meanwhile, various activities were also carried out to promote and enhance awareness regarding physical/mental well-being.
Speaking on the occasion, a senior doctor from the AYUSH department said that the aim of these health melas is to deliver a range of comprehensive health care services like maternal and child health services to address communicable and non-communicable diseases and services for elderly and palliative care.
AB-HWCs provide free essential medicines and diagnostic services, tele-consultation and health promotion including wellness activities like Yoga, he added.
The Melas witnessed overwhelming participation of locals who availed free medical facilities.
