Ganderbal, Apr 3: Ilyas Ahmed assumed the charge of the office of Chief Executive Officer, Sonamarg Development Authority (SDA) here Monday. He has taken over from Mushtaq Ahmed Rather.
Ilyas Ahmed has already held important senior positions which include CEO, Gulmarg Development Authority, Secretary Lakes Conservation, and Management Authority, and Deputy Director Tourism.
On assuming the charge of Chief Executive Officer, SDA, Ilyas Ahmed interacted with officials and stakeholders to know about the present scenario of Sonamarg tourist resort.
President Hoteliers Club Sonamarg, Farooq Ahmed Hafiz has welcomed his appointment. He told news agency Kashmir News Trust that there are various issues that need to be resolved and they hope the new CEO will deliver the goods and make Sonamarg a centre of attraction for tourists.
