Need to come up to expectations

As the world has celebrated International Labour Day and similarly the Jammu & Kashmir too witnessed dozens of programs by political parties, civil society and the government as well. Every single individual has praised the labour class and also highlighted their efforts in ensuring progress, development and prosperity of different organizations, departments and the private sector as well. However, when it comes to the remuneration of the labourers, every official including the government has remained tight-lipped over the issue, pushing the labour class to the wall and simultaneously leaving their families to suffer as well. It has been observed that most of the employees working in the private sectors are getting a meagre amount as monthly remuneration, but unfortunately there has been no stance from the government side in this regard to ensure that the private employees could heave a sigh of relief. From teachers to other private jobs, the employees are getting only peanuts while the concerned authorities have failed to bring relief to these employees, which has a put a question mark over the functioning of the government in Jammu and Kashmir and concerned officials as well. There is a need to take strict measures in this regard to ensure that the day will be celebrated with smiles and new hopes in Jammu & Kashmir and the labour class is not pushed to the wall any further. Only after ensuring such mandatory changes on the ground, the reason to celebrate the day will be achieved in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
