Srinagar, Jun 16: A biker was killed after he was hit by a vehicle when he was crossing the road at Batpora area of Kunzer in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday morning.
Locals said that a motorcyclist parked his vehicle on the roadside and tried to cross the road. However, a vehicle hit him in the middle of the road, leaving him seriously wounded.
An official said that the rider was immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital Magam where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
He identified the deceased as Wasim Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Rasool Mir of Habilgam Kunzer.
The official said that a case has been registered and investigation has been started in this regard.
