Srinagar, Jul 15: “We are promoting Kashmir Art Emporium, as a craft space for our talented youth, and want to give space to such talent,” said the Direct Handloom and Handicraft, on Saturday while inaugurating the two-day bone carving exhibition at Kashmir Art Emporium, Srinagar.
Mehmood Shah, Director Handloom and Handicraft, while speaking to the reporters here in Srinagar, said that they are promoting this place as a craft space for “our talented youth, that they should come here and show talent.”
He said that today is the 8th exhibition and every time we have tried to give space to a news artist like we did today. “Last time we gave space to a boy from Ganderbal, who used to make sand portraits. Today’s exhibition is about a boy who is doing bone carving. We are organising such an exhibition in order to make people aware and to give a platform to the talented youth of our valley,” he said.
