Put teachers at the centre

Yet again, the youngsters who are seeking jobs and appeared in the recruitment examinations in Jammu & Kashmir, here have been continuously pleading for government action, alleging that scam in the recruitment process. The job aspirants of Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) department are continuously protesting, seeking the intervention of the government led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha as they allege the scam in the recruitment process. The job aspirants have time and again sought the probe into the matter to ascertain the facts and ensure that any scam in the recruitment process is dealt with strictly as per the law. J&K has already witnessed a few scams in the recruitment processes, but the incumbent regime has completely supported the aspirants and acted against it following which the drive was stopped for some time. Nearly 30,000 people have got jobs in the recruitment processes in the past three years, while the authorities have hired Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) to conduct the job examinations here in a transparent manner. However, at this juncture, the job aspirants of F&ES should also be heard by the people at the helm of affairs and ensure that the allegations are verified properly. There is a need to speed up the investigation into the recruitment process for F&ES department and ensure that the facts are brought to the public at an earliest and the youngsters who appeared in the examinations could heave a sigh of relief.
