Rajouri youth’s murder: Police arrest five accused

Rajouri, Jun 24: Jammu and Kashmir police here in Rajouri on Thursday claimed to have arrested five persons, who are allegedly involved in the murder of a youth in Muradpur area.
The five accused persons have been booked in a case under FIR number 408/2021 under sections 302, 341, 323, 336, 147 and 148 IPC at Police Station Rajouri.
Sharing details, police in an official statement said that on June 22, an information was received at Police Station Rajouri that one person identified as Ajaz Dar, son of Muhammad Afzal Dar of Rajdhani Thanamandi was attacked by some persons near Muradpur due to which he was injured and later succumbed to his injuries.
Soon after the incident, an investigation into the matter was initiated.
Police said that different police parties under the supervision of Additional SP HQrs Rajouri, Vivek Shekhar and headed by DySP HQ Vinod Sharma and Incharge SHO Rajouri, SI Javed Manhas were deputed to search and apprehend the accused.
“On June 23, 2021, a team arrested four of the accused persons, while one more accused was arrested by another team today,” police said.
Police also said that for speedy investigation into the matter, a Special Investigation Team under the supervision of Additional SP HQ Rajouri, Vivek Shekhar Rajouri has been constituted while further legal proceedings in relation to this case are going on.
Pertinent to mention here that a youth from Rajdhani village of Thanamandi was transporting his buffalo on a load carrier Tata mobile when some people attacked the vehicle near Muradpur village in which he received grievous injuries and later succumbed.
