Keep Kashmir connected

There was a time when heart diseases were quite uncommon in Kashmir as barely a person could get affected due to the disease. This all happened because the people always opted for the better lifestyle and mandatorily preferred to walk towards their destinations. However, the busy schedule in the modern era has crippled the people to the four walls. The people don’t even prefer to walk for almost ten minutes a day but usually prefer to reach the destinations and even buy the essentials on vehicles. But, such an adoption has changed the lifestyle of people completely, thus leading to the risk of health issues, which include heart diseases as well. The cardiologists have always appealed to people to walk almost for 30 minutes a day, which would help them to stay fit and healthy. But, ignoring the repeated alarms from the experts has led to an increase in the number of patients with heart related diseases. The medicines may help these patients to recover, but ultimately it is the physical activities like running, walking for 30 minutes to one hour in a day, that could help the people to stay healthy. On this World Heart Day, the people should resolve to stop getting indulged in wrong doings and start a fresh with physical activities and sports activities so that the number of heart stroke cases being witnessed in the valley could be reduced. Both the parents as well as the children need to take a pledge on this day to work for better health and to begin, physical activities must be started forthwith, which would help in ensuring a better future ahead.
