Aarifeen School of Excellence triumphs in UT Yogasana Championship with Gold, Bronze

Baramulla, Oct 23: The students from Aarifeen School of Excellence Baramulla clinched top honors at the UT Yogasana Championship held in Srinagar.
The event took place at the Sheri Kashmir Indoor Stadium, featuring teams from 12 districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mohammad Abrar, a student of Grade 3 showcasing exceptional skills, secured the first position in the sub junior boys’ category, earning a well-deserved gold medal.
Adding to the school’s triumph, Soliha Jan, a Grade 2 student, claimed the bronze medal in the sub-junior category.
The UT Yogasana Sports Championship, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Yoga Sports Association, witnessed fierce competition, and Aarifeen School of Excellence students stood out with their outstanding performances.
The school’s Physical Education Department, led by HOD Aijaz Ahmad, guided a team of 9 students. Accompanied by Yasmeena Akhter and Jamsheeda, the students showcased not only their yogic prowess but also their discipline and dedication.
The organizers acknowledged and honored the winners with trophies and certificates, highlighting the school’s commitment to holistic development through sports.
Asma Sadiq, Coordinator of Aarifeen School of Excellence Baramulla, extended heartfelt congratulations to the victorious students.
Emphasizing the importance of sports in education, she underlined how discipline cultivated through sports contributes to the overall success of children.
She said that aligned with the National Education Policy’s emphasis on sports and skill development, ASE aims to instill ambitious goals in students, encouraging them to strive for excellence in various fields, including sports.
“The school’s Physical Education Department plays a pivotal role in nurturing students’ potential to compete at national and international levels, bringing pride to the state and the nation,” Asma Sadiq added.
