Viksit Bharat Yatra kickstarts in Kupwara

Kupwara, Nov 21: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) kick-started on Tuesday in Kupwara district from Kuligam village of Block Wavoora (Lolab) with a massive participation of people of different areas of Lolab.
The District Prabhari Officer to Kupwara district, Rajeev Kumar Tiwari launched the event in presence of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan and Vice Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir.
Besides, BDC Chairman, Choudhary Rafiq Kataria, District Officers, Sectoral Officers, field functionaries, PRIs, beneficiaries of different centrally sponsored schemes and a huge gathering of people, including men and women participated in the event.
The event began with a pledge to build a Viksit Bharat by 2047, followed by screening of a video message of Hon’ble PM.
Addressing the participants, District Prabhari Officer said that it has been the constant endeavor of the Prime Minister to attain saturation of flagship schemes of the government by ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach all targeted beneficiaries in a time-bound manner.
In a major step towards the attainment of this aim of saturation of schemes, the Prime Minister launched ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ on the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.
Tiwari said that CSSs are implemented to achieve social objectives like poverty reduction, improving health services, increasing food security, better avenues for healthcare and livelihood. He impressed that empowerment of women make them financially independent when they are able to generate income by benefiting from these schemes.
District Prabhari Officer, congratulated district administration Kupwara led by Ayushi Sudan for resounding success of the program and reaching out to people at grass roots level.
Earlier, the DC said that the focus of the Yatra is to reach out to the people, creating awareness and providing benefits of welfare schemes.
She asked the people to take inspiration from the success stories and get themselves enrolled for different CSSs.
The Vice Chairman, District Development Council Kupwara highlighted the significant contribution of tribal brothers to the freedom struggle.
He added that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has been organized to ensure that government schemes reach the people’s doorsteps, contributing to the transformation of India into a developed nation.
Earlier in, ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ segment, the beneficiaries of government sponsored schemes presented their success stories and shared their experiences about the benefits they availed.
Sanction letters under different CSSs and appreciation certificates were distributed on the occasion.
A series of cultural programs were also presented by students to display the traditional culture of the area.
Among others, ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan; PO ICDS, Hakeem Tanveer; ACD Kupwara, Hilal Ahmad Mir, SDM Lolab, Ijaz Ahmad Bhat; CEO Kupwara, Abdul Hamid Fani; DIO Kupwara, Iftikhar Naseem, besides other senior district and sectoral officers were also present on the occasion.
