DC Baramulla reviews Srinagar-Baramulla NH1 4-Lane expansion work

Baramulla, Jan 22: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, Monday conducted a thorough assessment of the ongoing construction and road widening activities along the Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway NH1, specifically from Narbal to Uri, during his on-site visit.
During the visit, the DDC and a team of officers conducted a comprehensive on-site inspection of key construction sites, including Khan QQ pora Bypass, Delina Flyover, Sangrama Flyover, Pattan Bypass, Narbal/Mirgund Package1-B, Hamray and other significant locations.
The executing officers provided the DDC with a detailed overview encompassing the current status, progress, projected timeline, hurdles and various facets pertaining to the ongoing construction activities.
While reviewing the progress of the project, the DDC directed the concerned executing agencies to expedite the work on the project and complete it within stipulated time frame thereby benefiting the commuters by significantly reducing the travel time.
Minga Sherpa further directed the officers of the various departments to collaborate and swiftly address any impediments hindering construction work ensuring a smooth and timely progression of the project.
He emphasized that the Srinagar-Baramulla-Uri National Highway bears profound significance, not solely in terms of transportation but also means for fostering economic development and effective connectivity for the entire region.
The DDC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Raina; Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Superintending Engineers PWD, OE Beacon and other concerned officers from various departments.
