While the people across the country have celebrated the National Girl Child Day, the authorities in almost all the districts here organized seminars and events to highlight the support of the administration towards empowering the girls in every aspect. The day was celebrated at a time when the incidents of unruly behaviour with the girls have been witnessed many times. This day is a reminder to all those, who don’t want the girls to live a happy life as from schools, offices, roads to home, the girls have been facing tremendous injustice in different aspects. Celebrating the day by organizing the events won’t bring any surprising change on the ground, but the society needs to vow to put an end to the injustices against the girls so that the sisters, mothers would live a happy life. To ensure a suitable atmosphere for the girls, the administration needs to take proactive measures to ensure that the harassment at different places including schools, colleges, offices, domestic violence, and other things are put to an immediate end. On priority, there is a need to provide a platform to the girls at par with the boys so that they are deprived of the basic things like education, sports and other things as these platforms would certainly help them to grow in their lives and also pave a way for their better future. It is the time when the people should celebrate Girl Child Day on every day and give wings to their daughters and help them to fly high and make the entire nation proud.
