DC Kulgam emphasizes on crucial role of Pani Samities for sustainability of water schemes

Kulgam, Mar 7: Four Day’s training program aimed to equip Level-3 community stakeholders, Pani Samiti members, with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively implement the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in their respective areas concluded Thursday at Kulgam.
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan presided over the valedictory function.
Addressing participants on the occasion, DC emphasized on the crucial role of Pani Samiti members in ensuring the sustainability of water schemes in villages.
He urged them to take their responsibilities seriously and work towards creating a lasting impact on the community.
The DC also commended the dedication and hard work of the participants during the training program.
Meanwhile, DC Kulgam presented awards to the best performers among the JJM team and the participants.
Besides, participants were given felicitation certificates for their active participation and engagement throughout the training program.
The DC encouraged the participants to continue their efforts in transforming water management practices and making a positive impact on the community.
During the training period, participants were imparted knowledge about various aspects of water conservation, management and maintenance.
Among others present on the occasion were Exen Jal Shakti Department Kulgam, Er. Nawaz Ahmad, Project Manager DPMU Kulgam , Er. Aijaz Ahmad Keen, Consultant Civil, Er. G.A Beigh AEE’s & other officers.
