Shopian, Apr 8: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone Monday flagged-off a mega rally under SVEEP, here.
The rally was aimed to inspire and educate the voters of district Shopian for their large scale participation in the electoral process in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
The rally, organised by Nodal Officer, SVEEP, was also attended by Dy.DEO, Dy CEO, Principals and Lecturer/ Sr. Lecturers and other staff members of various Educational Institutions of District Shopian.
The rally started from BHSS Shopian and culminated at the old Bus stand Shopian.
During the rally, students chanted slogans, “mera vote meri taqat, mera vote meri awaz, mera vote mera mustaqbil, sab kam chod doh sab say phalay vote doh.”
The students held placards and banners, reading the aforementioned slogans, prepared by them in different colours.
The rally culminated with the final address by Javaid Ahmed Khan Dy CEO Shopian, who appreciated the sincere efforts of all the principals and staff members of various Education Institutions.
