Ensure rideable surface of city roads within 2 days: Div Com to SSCL, PWD

Srinagar, Apr 25: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Thursday convened a meeting of Officers of SSCL, PWD, UEED and SMC to review the physical progress of work on different roads of the City.
On the occasion, Div Com directed Officers of Srinagar Smart City Limited and Public Works Department (R&B) to ensure rideable surface of all those roads in the city on which the different upgradation works were executed by their respective departments within two days.
He directed them that black-topping of the roads should also begin immediately.
While reviewing the power scenario in the valley, Div Com directed MD, KPDCL to ensure improvement in the supply of electricity to the consumers besides rationalization of power schedule.
While reviewing the induction of additional fleet of SSCL buses on different routes, it was informed that 25 number of 12-meter buses shall ply on Route 01 from Harwan to Parimpora; Route 02 from TRC to Budgam Railway station via IG road; Route 06 from Pantha Chowk to Parimpora via Sonwar; Route 10 from Pantha Chowk to Narbal Crossing via Tengpora Byepass and on Route 14 from TRC to Ganderbal Via Soura.
Among others, the meeting was attended by SSP Traffic Srinagar; CE, UEED; SEs of KPDCL; officers of SSCL, PWD& SMC.
