Kupwara, Jul 30: A leopard that had taken shelter in a school building was captured alive today in Punzwa Vilgam hamlet of North Kashmir’s Handwara town.
Pertinently, the school in which the leopard had taken shelter is not visited by students and staff after government closed all educational institutions due to Covid-19 pandemic.
A Wild Life Department official said that they had received information about the movement of wild animals in the area from locals.
A team was making all efforts to capture these wild animals and today a leopard was spotted inside a school building that was captured with the active assistance of local people.
He said the animal will be released in its habitat. (KNT)
