Rajouri, Jul 31: The vehicular movement on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway was suspended for around three hours on Saturday after security forces recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on the crucial road link.
Officials said that a specific information was received by police this morning, that suspicious movement has taken place in Dalogra area along the highway in Rajouri.
“The traffic was immediately suspended and an operation was launched during which the security forces detected an IED,” the officials said.
They said that the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of police defused the IED while the entire area is under cordon and searches are going on. (KNO)
