Macadamize roads in interiors of Srinagar

The roads in Srinagar areas are giving tough times to the people, especially to the commuters as the roads have developed potholes. Some of the roads have been dug by the different departments for some works, but have not been repaired or macadamized till yet. It has become a routine exercise that the roads being dug for some underground works are being left without any macadamization process. Similar is the case in Habba Kadal locality where a road stretch from Gadood Bagh locality to Batamaloo Sahab shrine was dug a few months back, but has not been macadamized so far, which simultaneously adds to the miseries of the commuters. The people living in the locality and those who travel through the interiors of Habba Kadal are being pushed to the wall as the potholed roads are giving tough time to them. One fails to understand why the people are being left on God’s mercy after digging the roads for underground works. Travelling through the road has become difficult for the daily commuters. Such an issue needs to be resolved forthwith. There is a need to take immediate steps in this regard to ensure that the road stretch is macadamized at an earliest. Furthermore, there is a need to identify all such roads so that the necessary steps are taken in this regard well on time and the sufferings of people will come to an immediate end.
