Doda, Aug 20: In preparation for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024, the District Election Office Doda organized an intensive three-day training session for polling staff. The Day one witnessed sessions at different venues, including Town Hall Doda, Community Hall Doda, Community Hall Bhaderwah, and Degree College Kilhotran (Bhallessa).
Approximately 400 polling staff members participated in the training today, which focused on ensuring a smooth and secure election process.
During the sessions, District Election Officer (DEO), Harvinder Singh, addressed the polling staff, emphasizing the critical importance of the security of EVM (Electronic Voting Machine). Issuing strict instructions, the authorities tasked with the management and safeguarding of EVMs were asked not to leave any polling station unattended under any circumstances.
The DEO Doda also discussed the issues related to the smooth operation of the elections, urging staff to stay vigilant and well-prepared for any challenges.
Master trainers imparted crucial information and instructions to participants on conducting the assembly elections efficiently. The staff was given tips on maintaining order in the polling stations, handling voter concerns, and ensuring the timely submission of election results were covered.
The meeting was attended by Returning Officers (ROs), Chief Planning Officer Doda, Manesh Kumar Manhas, and other master trainers, all of whom contributed to the detailed discussion on election protocols and staff responsibilities.
