Pampore, Aug 4: Residents of Deva Mohalla Kranchoo Pampore staged a protest against PHE Department alleging that they had not received drinking water for over 15 days.
The protesters mostly female folk said they sometime receive water from bore wells which is impure and unfit for drinking.
“While the adjoining areas get water regularly, our area is neglected. The residents get water only once in 15 days,” the protesters said.
They said the water from bore-wells which they receive is very impure which they use for washing purposes.
They sought intervention of Chief Engineer Public Health Engineering Department. (KNT)
