Budgam, Oct 22: Two girls were injured in a road accident on Tuesday afternoon at Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
An official said that two girls were travelling on a scooty when upon reaching Namtehall crossing they lost control and fell into a deep gorge from the bridge.
Both the girls sustained injuries in the incident and were initially taken to the Sub-District Hospital in Chadoora for treatment, the official said.
They were later shifted to SMHS Srinagar for further treatment.
The injured have been identified as Aneesa Jan from Hyderpora, Srinagar, and Seerat Jan, the pillion rider, from Bachroo, Chadoora.
Meanwhile, an official confirmed that the authorities have taken cognizance of the incident and have launched an investigation into the matter. (KNO)
