Srinagar, Nov 12: National Conference (NC) on Tuesday suspended its senior Vice President, Haji Mohammad Syed Akhoon from the basic membership of the party for the period of six years.
The decision was taken by the party president Dr Farooq Abdullah.
As per a letter issued by Party’s provincial president Showkat Ahmed Mir, Akhoon was suspended for anti-party activities.
“As directed by Jb. Dr. Farooq Abdullah President, JKNC you are suspended from the basic membership of JKNC for a period of six years for your anti party activities,” the letter reads.
Meanwhile, it has been learnt that the party has also expelled the former Member of Legislative Council (MLC) and its district secretary.
Former MLC, Kafeel-ur-Rehman, District Secretary Baramulla Ghulam Hassan Rahi have been expelled from the party. (KNO)
