Srinagar, Aug 14: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday witnessed 135 fresh positive cases, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 1,303.
No death toll has been reported in J&K in the last 24 hours, the death toll in the UT has stands at 4,395 and 135 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 323,325.
Of the exact number of 323,325 cases, 200,823 are from Kashmir division and 122,502 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 135 new cases, 98 belong to Kashmir division while as 37 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 200,823 including 197,826 recoveries and 2,239 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 122,502 including 119,801 recoveries and 2,156 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,302 including 758 from Kashmir division and 545 from Jammu division.
With 156 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 317,627 which is 98.24 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 35 from Srinagar, 05 from Baramulla, 06 from Budgam, 09 from Pulwama, 10 from Kupwara, 08 from Anantnag, 11 from Bandipora, 09 from Ganderbal, 04 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 37 from Jammu division include 10 from Jammu, 03 from Udhampur, 04 from Rajouri, 10 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 07 from Kishtwar, 02 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Saturday said that one fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and reached to 42.
As per officials figures, 71,794 positive cases including 834 deaths and 70,634 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,756 including 282 deaths and 23,401 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,013 including 22,725 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Budgam, 15,255 including 15,023 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,151 including 165 deaths and 13,946 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,374 including 16,130 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,552 cases including 9,405 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,013 including 9,865 recoveries and 78 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,326 including 11,171 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,589 including 5,526 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,907 including 51,636 recoveries and 1,141 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,365 including 11,176 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,022 including 10,730 recoveries and 228 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,405 including 7,183 recoveries and 128 deaths are from Doda, 9,273 including 9,113 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,130 including 7,002 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,707 including 4,610 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,289 including 6,163 recoveries and 97 deaths are from Poonch, 5,980 including 5,895 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,424 including 6,285 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 3,029,946 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 8,276 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,303 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,635,839 persons have completed the surveillance period and 390,133 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 12,526,914 samples are available. Out of 12,526,914 the number of samples tested negative stands at 12,203,589 while as 323,325 have tested positive, among them 1,303 persons are active, 317,627 persons have recovered and 4,395 persons have died.
