Srinagar, Jan 4: In what could be a game-changer in India’s aviation industry, Mumbai-based RampWorks Aviation Private Limited is starting training centers in many states and Union Territories across the country to train young boys and girls, for Seaplane and Airport operations besides world class cabin crew and Hospitality Industry Training.
RampWorks Aviation Private Limited is the brainchild of Siddharth Verma, a pioneer in seaplane operations, with 32 years of unmatched experience.
The company is all set to foray into the Indian market with four training centers in Jammu and Kashmir, North-East, Himachal Pradesh and Nagpur in Maharashtra. To begin with, RampWorks Aviation Private Limited is starting its flagship center in Srinagar city of J&K Union Territory next month in February.
The company has devised a specialised, intensive 90-day full time training programme in each of the three offered courses, including ground handling of Seaplane & Airports, Cabin Crew and Hospitality.
At the end of the 90 days training, besides it, the students will have to undertake 30-day on job training. Each course will have a batch of 25 students, including boys and girls and will be trained by the international instructors with thousands of hours of experience in amphibious and wheeled aircraft.
What sets RampWorks Aviation Private Limited apart from its competitors in the aviation industry are its full residential training program that offers classroom and on job training and 100% guaranteed placement to its graduates at top industry salaries immediately after training.
Also, it is India’s first Composite Training Program for training Ground staff for Seaplane and Airport operations and a world class cabin crew training program. In the second phase scheduled for Q3 of 2025, RampWorks Aviation Pvt Limited plans to launch India’s first seaplane pilot training school (Approved Training Organization) in Kashmir, while in the third phase a full-fledged pilot training school (Flying Training Program) has been envisioned by the company.
“Kashmir offers fantastic ground for starting seaplane operations. We have already reserved 20% seats in each course for our Kashmiri students who aim for the sky,” Verma said.
He said that the government of India has identified 79 water bodies for seaplanes under the ongoing RCS-UDAN Round 5.5 of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt of India, paving the way for the induction of 50-100 seaplanes across India starting mid-2025.
“For instance, if 200 destinations (airports to waterdromes) come up for connection by this projected fleet of seaplanes, it means the country needs at least 2000 trained people to handle operations at these destinations. With absolutely no seaplane trained personnel available as on date, RampWorks has taken the lead in addressing this huge demand for qualified crew and has positioned itself as the company of choice for the aspiring students to learn the ropes of the seaplane operations. These graduates will be some of the most sought-after ground personnel in India in the months to come,” Verma added.
The CEO of RampWorks, Nehal Vyas further added that “the training imparted by the top-notch professionals from the industry as well the attention to detail and the sheer intensity of the training program will ensure that the students emerge ‘industry ready’ from the training and hit the ground running from day one. With the flagship center being operational in Srinagar, Kashmir will set the tone for the creation of the seaplane ecosystem for the rest of India.”
The launch of RampWorks flagship center in Kashmir, also called paradise on earth for its beautiful landscapes, mighty peaks and crystal-clear water bodies, is expected to attract more industrialists and investors to the Valley to boost its economy and to provide endless employment avenues to the youth.
The company plans to train 300 students a year at each of the centers and is undertaking a Roadshow to introduce the company and its courses to potential students who will start training from Feb, 2025.
To begin with, RampWorks is holding a roadshow in Dehradun on January 6 to reach out to the aspiring youth who want to make their career in the aviation industry. This roadshow will be followed by walkin interviews of the aspirants at the hotel Sterling Marbella in the city.
