Srinagar, Jan 13: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) said it played a crucial role in providing seamless telecom connectivity during the inauguration of the 6.5-kilometre-long Z-Morh tunnel by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
BSNL J&K, General Manager, Arvind Pandey, said they played a major role in providing seamless telecom connectivity during the much-awaited inauguration of the 6.5-kilometre-long Z-Morh tunnel by PM Modi.
He said the BSNL swiftly established leased lines, hotlines, FTTH and other services at key locations, including the Z-Morh tunnel, Truck Yard, Neelgrar Helipad at Sonamarg, the Technical Airport and SKICC in Srinagar.
“The connectivity setup was completed in just two to three days, ensuring uninterrupted communication for the historic event,” he said, adding that where all other operators took a step back, BSNL came forward and established seamless connectivity.
Pandey highlighted BSNL’s commitment to extending services in remote areas, saying they always step up during critical times to ensure connectivity, even in challenging terrains.
It is worth mentioning that the Z-Morh tunnel is expected to transform connectivity in the region by ensuring all-weather access, boosting local economies and strengthening regional ties.
