Forests: The backbone of earth’s ecosystem

The tussle between the tin cricket associations in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has only added to the miseries of the young cricketers, who have been pushed to the wall since long. The formation of a second association despite having one, has not only created chaos, but has completely brought the cricketing affairs to stand still in the district. Once famous for the cricketing talent, south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has been struggling to come up with the flourished talent as the cricket has literally gone for a six while the young talent is being deprived from playing at different grounds and platforms. One fails to understand why the authorities concerned have so far kept a silence over the issue and has not uttered a single word to end the dilemma and allow the young cricketers to wear the jersey again. The district has a lot of talent and the government, especially the concerned Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association including the BCCI, must intervene at the shortest possible time to ensure that the talent is not wasted and those who really can prove their ability. The youth within the district has a lot of potential to make it to the international cricket, thus, the further delay must not be allowed and a timely decision in this regard is the need of the hour, so that the youngsters can be able to nourish their talent and compete with the youth from outside Jammu and Kashmir and represent the nation at international level as well.
