Ganderbal, Jun 13: In view of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2025, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore Friday convened a meeting here at DC Office, Ganderbal to review the medical preparedness in the district.
During the meeting, Chief Medical Officer briefed the chair about the status of healthcare arrangements being put in place along the yatra route. This included the deployment of medical staff, availability of medicines, ambulances, oxygen booths, and accommodation infrastructure for medical personnel.
It was informed that adequate Base Hospitals, Medical Aid Camps, and Emergency Aid Centres have been established at identified locations, which are equipped with essential medical equipment, medicines, and trained medical and paramedical staff to ensure timely and efficient healthcare services during the Yatra period.
DC stressed the importance of ensuring complete readiness of all healthcare services well before the commencement of the Yatra.
He emphasized the need for robust coordination among all medical teams deployed along the route to facilitate seamless medical care to the pilgrims.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Syed Fahim Bihaqi; Chief Medical Officer, Block Medical Officer Kangan, and other concerned officials of the Health department.
