Coronavirus: JK reports one death, 155 new cases

Srinagar, Sep 17: Jammu and Kashmir Friday witnessed one death and 155 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,440.
With one more death, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,416 and 155 fresh positive cases reported on Friday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 327,621.
Of the exact number of 327,621 cases, 204,179 are from Kashmir division and 123,442 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 155 new cases, 133 belong to Kashmir division while as 22 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 204,179 including 200,733 recoveries and 2,247 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 123,442 including 121,032 recoveries and 2,169 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,440 including 1,199 from Kashmir division and 241 from Jammu division.
With 135 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 321,765 which is 98.22 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 96 from Srinagar, 08 from Baramulla, 08 from Budgam, 03 from Pulwama, 06 from Kupwara, 01 from Anantnag, 03 from Bandipora, 07 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 02 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 22 from Jammu division include 05 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 12 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 03 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Friday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 46.
One death was reported at CD hospital Srinagar.
As per officials figures, 73,476 positive cases including 838;deaths and 71,886 recoveries are from Srinagar, 24,130 including 282 deaths and 23,710 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,418 including 23,079 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,400including 15,175 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,311 including 166 deaths and 14,112 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,484 including 16,264 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,693 cases including 9,563 and 101 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,208 including 10,087 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,456 including 11,316 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,603 including 5,541 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,102 including 51,899 recoveries and 1,143 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,390 including 11,248 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,141 including 10,882 recoveries and 236 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,702 including 7,512 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Doda, 9,288 including 9,136 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,138 including 7,018 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,803 including 4,750 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,340 including 6,230 recoveries and 97 deaths are from Poonch, 6,011 including 5,932 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,527 including 6,425 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 3,443,730 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,083 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,440 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,965,552 persons have completed the surveillance period and 465,239 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 14,204,747 samples are available. Out of 14,204,747 the number of samples tested negative stands at 13,877,126 while as 327,621 have tested positive, among them 1,440 persons are active, 321,765 persons have recovered and 4,416 persons have died.
