15 years on, Anantnag residents awaits road macadamisation

Anantnag, Oct 2: The residents of Madni Colony Sarnal KP road in Anantnag are suffering due to the extremely bad condition of their road.
Residents said that they have been waiting macadmisation of the road leading to Madni Colony for the last 15 years.
Locals said that they many times requested officials of concerned R&B division Khanabal to pay their attention towards the deteriorated condition of the road but all in vain.
“Every year we have to face problems due to the dilapidated condition of the road but nobody is there to care for us. Our children, elderly persons every now and then get infected with various diseases due to the dust coming from the road, said Shahid Wani, a local resident.
Wani said that from last 15 years every year they approach R&B officials where they get the same response that next year macdamization will get done, “but that next year never comes.”
Locals appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to pay attention towards the genuine grievance of the area, so that the problem gets resolved at an earliest. (KNO)
