Jammu, Dec 29: J&K BJP President and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Sat Sharma, along with MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta, inaugurated Restaurant Roman Café at Kamla Palace Road, Talab Tillo, Jammu.
J&K BJP Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, District Presidents Adv. Rajesh Gupta and Rinku Choudhary, Kissan Morcha President Rakesh Pant, senior BJP leaders Ayodhya Gupta, Neelam Nargotra, Keshav Chopra, Kushant Prajapati, Jaideep Sambyal, Rahul Nargotra, Atul Chopra, Rajesh Khurana, along with café owner Taranjit Sodhi, his family members, prominent locals, and party workers were present on the occasion.
Congratulating the owner on the launch of the new hospitality venture, Sat Sharma said the café would provide employment to at least four additional persons, thereby contributing to youth employment in the region.
“The Modi government emphasizes empowering youth to become job providers rather than job seekers. Initiatives like Startup India and Skill India have created a supportive ecosystem, and ventures like Roman Café demonstrate that Jammu’s youth are confidently stepping forward to create opportunities,” Sat Sharma said.
MLA Arvind Gupta praised the initiative and said that small and medium enterprises play a crucial role in strengthening the local economy. He stated that restaurants and cafés not only add vibrancy to urban life but also generate direct and indirect employment. “Such ventures contribute to self-reliance and reflect the changing mindset of our youth, who are now eager to innovate and invest locally,” he added.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra said the inauguration of Roman Café aligns with the BJP-led government’s focus on grassroots economic growth. He emphasized that encouraging local entrepreneurship is essential for sustainable development in Jammu and Kashmir.
Owner Taranjit Sodhi, while thanking the BJP leadership for their presence and encouragement, said that Restaurant Roman Café will offer a variety of Chinese and South Indian cuisines in an attractive and comfortable ambience at affordable prices. He expressed confidence that customers would appreciate the quality, hygiene, and hospitality, and said the café aims to become a popular dining destination in the area. (KINS)
