Coronavirus: JK reports 100 new cases

Srinagar, Oct 4: Jammu and Kashmir Monday witnessed 100 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,157 while no death was reported in the last 24 hours.
With no more death, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,424 and 100 fresh positive cases reported on Monday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 329,889.
Of the exact number of 329,889 cases, 205,978 are from Kashmir division and 123,911 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 100 new cases, 78 belong to Kashmir division while as 22 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 205,978 including 202,835 recoveries and 2,250 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 123,911 including 121,473 recoveries and 2,174 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,157 including 893 from Kashmir division and 264 from Jammu division.
With 144 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 324,308 which is 98.31 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 44 from Srinagar, 02 from Baramulla, 06 from Budgam, 05 from Pulwama, 03 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 05 from Bandipora, 09 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 22 from Jammu division include 10 from Jammu, 00 from Udhampur, 02 from Rajouri, 04 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 02 from Ramban and 03 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Monday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 46.
As per officials figures, 74,449 positive cases including 840 deaths and 73,097 recoveries are from Srinagar, 24,347 including 282 deaths and 23,952 recoveries are from Baramulla, 23,623 including 23,322 recoveries and 207 deaths are from Budgam, 15,478 including 15,250 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,361 including 166 deaths and 14,172 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,535 including 16,304 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,762 cases including 9,620 and 102 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,337 including 10,213 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,479 including 11,359 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,607 including 5,546 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,207 including 51,991 recoveries and 1,144 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,403 including 11,260 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,239 including 10,978 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,800 including 7,600 recoveries and 133 deaths are from Doda, 9,307 including 9,143 recoveries and 151 deaths are from Kathua, 7,150 including 7,022 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,814 including 4,768 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,366 including 6,245 recoveries and 98 deaths are from Poonch, 6,035 including 5,946 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,590 including 6,520 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 3,571,646 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 6,994 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,157 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 3,094,688 persons have completed the surveillance period and 464,383 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 15,044,940 samples are available. Out of 15,044,940 the number of samples tested negative stands at 14,715,051 while as 329,889 have tested positive, among them 1,157 persons are active, 324,308 persons have recovered and 4,424 persons have died.
