When answers raise more questions

The arrival of tourists in the Valley after the outbreak of Covid lockdown has brought smiles on the faces of people associated with the job. However, the reports have surfaced that some people associated with the trade are charging hefty amount from the tourists as transport and other charges, which is portraying a different image among the visitors about Kashmir. With these reports, it seems that the tourism players are themselves reluctant to give a boost to the tourism sector. One fails to understand why the associations concerned are not bothered to take an action against the erring tourism players. There are people who question the seriousness of tourism players with regard to the revival of tourism in Jammu and Kashmir as they believe the people associated with the sector are harming it by letting down the tourists. The government has now decided to act tough against the persons involved in the act, but it should at least talk to the associations concerned so that the things can be resolved at a shortest possible time. The tourism players should help the administration in giving a boost to the tourism sector and should refrain from overcharging and other related things. There is a need to attract more and more tourists to the Valley and not to disappoint them. Keeping in view of the past losses, there is a need to give a boost to the sector and everyone should pay their role in it.
