Sopore, Oct 19: The body of a 20-year-old shepherd was on Tuesday recovered from river Jhelum at Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Notably, the shepherd drowned into river Jhelum on last Wednesday following which the rescue operation was launched.
Officials said that the body of shepherd identified as Nazir Ahmad Cheechi, son of Muhammad Yousuf Cheechi of Bandipora was recovered from river Jhelum at Seer Jagir area of Sopore.
They said that the body was handed over to the family after conducted all legal medical formalities. (KNO)
