Srinagar, Aug 1: National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Saturday urged the country’s youth to dedicate themselves to national service, calling on them to rise above personal interests and contribute towards building a stronger India.
Speaking after receiving the Lokmanya Tilak National Award 2026 in Pune, Doval said India is passing through a crucial phase and should make full use of the current opportunity to shape its future. He encouraged young people to prioritise national interest over short-term personal gains.
Doval also paid tribute to Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, describing him as a freedom fighter, social reformer and philosopher who inspired people to fight for India’s freedom. Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the award to the NSA. (KINS)
