DC Ganderbal reviews progress under various Agriculture Schemes

Ganderbal, Sep 3: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, Thursday chaired a detailed meeting to review the progress and implementation of schemes of the Agriculture Department including Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement of Agriculture & Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP) and other related schemes in the district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner undertook a department-wise review of progress under JKCIP and directed the Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Horticulture Planning & Marketing (HP&M) and Fisheries to expedite the establishment of the remaining units and ensure their completion on priority.
The progress under L2 and L3 registrations on the KKG Portal was also reviewed. The concerned departments were directed to accelerate registration and make concerted efforts towards timely achievement of the allotted targets.
Reviewing the status under Daksh Kisan, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to accelerate course completion and ensure that all pending activities are completed within the prescribed timelines.
The status of credit-linked cases under HADP was also reviewed. The Lead District Manager (LDM), Ganderbal was directed to ensure disbursement of sanctioned cases and expedite clearance of the cases pending at various bank branches, so that eligible beneficiaries receive the intended benefits without delay.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed progress under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme and directed the concerned banks to expedite the processing and clearance of all pending cases.
He further directed all concerned departments to intensify registration under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana (PM-KMY) and undertake focused efforts to improve coverage of eligible beneficiaries under the scheme.
During the meeting, the District Level Committee (DLC) approved several applications under JKCIP and HADP, for further processing as per the prescribed procedure.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need for time-bound implementation, regular monitoring and coordinated efforts by all concerned departments and stakeholders to ensure that the benefits of HADP and JKCIP interventions reach the farming and allied-sector community in a timely manner.
The meeting was attended by the concerned district officers, representatives of line departments, banking institutions and other stakeholders associated with the implementation of agriculture schemes in the district.
