Budgam, Sep 12: A man and his minor son were killed, while his wife was critically injured after the motorcycle they were travelling on collided with a car in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday.
An said that the family was travelling on a motorcycle when it collided with a car in the Soibugh area.
He said the motorcycle rider and his minor son sustained critical injuries in the accident. They were shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Soibugh, where doctors declared them dead.
The deceased were identified as Naseer Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan Mir, resident of Goom Ahmadpora, Magam, and his minor son Hadi. His wife, Dilshada Akhter, also sustained injuries in the accident.
The official said Dilshada was initially treated at PHC Soibugh and later referred to Srinagar for further treatment. Her condition was stated to be critical.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident. (KNO)
